J.K. Rowling

  The Harry Potter film series received the award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema at the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2011. Along with seven Oscar nominations, the series had already been recognised with 28 BAFTA nominations at that point.
  
  J.K. Rowling and film producer David Heyman received the award on behalf of the franchise during the ceremony at London’s Royal Opera House on 13 February 2011.
