Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, directed by Chris Columbus and produced by David Heyman, broke all box office records when it opened in the UK on 16 November 2001 and has since become the number eleven film of all time.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second film, also directed by Chris Columbus and produced by David Heyman, went on general release on 15th November 2002.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third film, was released in the UK and USA on June 4th 2004 and was directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth film, was released in the UK on 18 November 2005. It was directed by Mike Newell.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth film, was released in the UK and USA in July 2007, and was directed by David Yates.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film, was released on 11 July 2009 and is also directed by David Yates.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final adventure in the Harry Potter film series, is in two full-length parts. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 opened in the UK and USA on 19th November 2010, and Part 2 was released on 15th July 2011.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is the third highest grossing film of all time worldwide with over $1.3 billion taken at the box office. It is the highest grossing installment of the Harry Potter films worldwide.
