Production is officially underway on the HBO Original Harry Potter television series, heralded by the first picture of Dominic McLaughlin in costume as Harry. Set to premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max, filming is taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK, with the series set to roll out globally.
New cast members include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. The creative team features top talent behind the scenes, including Adriano Goldman (Director of Photography), Cate Hall (Hair and Makeup), and Mara LePere-Schloop (Production Design), among others.
The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes. Executive producers include J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman.
