  On the 11th October 2012, J.K. Rowling took part in a live global webcast, discussing the Harry Potter books and Pottermore.com, from her home town of Edinburgh, Scotland. Produced and directed by her American publisher, Scholastic, the webcast was broadcast to schools in America, England and Canada.
